We are make our own beer? Why, yes we do! At home on the weekends as a marriage bonding experiment. Over the next year we will make 31 different types of beer and blog about. We will remember every step, mistake, and good times. It should be a fun time and a great ride, just read and laugh with us, at us and remember beer making at home equals fun!

Winter Brew - Coffee Stout - Stouts are great beers to have around all the time, but especially during the winter months. This beer starts out with a nice roasty Stout base, not too malty and not to bitter. Then, Ozark Mountain Coffee Co. provides us with fresh roasted Colombian Supremo coffee to compliment the character of the stout. This beer has a strong coffee character that will come into balance about a month after bottling. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Double Chocolate Stout - A Sinful Double Chocolate Stout. A dark and delicious stout loaded with chocolate malt and real cocoa for a rich and smooth beer.

3-5-2010 bottled Maple Beer - We start with a smooth brown lager and add just the right amount of maple to give you a hint of maple flavor and aroma without being overly sweet. Wonderfully Different! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winter Belgian Tripel- Tripel was originally a name convention used by Trappist breweries to describe the strongest beer in their range. It includes a healthy amount of malt with added candy sugar to increase the alcohol and add dryness. Two hop additions add a subtle spiciness. A belgian strain of liquid yeast. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bottled on 2-12-10-20th Anniversary Ale - Scottish Wee Heavy - Malt is KING in Scottish Ales and this one is no exception. I just started with the home brew process
and it was because I was looking for
something new to do with my wife for fun.
I have only done a few home brews but they
have been the kit brews and we've liked
them so far.
