ABOUT ME
I got into homebrewing about 15
years ago. I bought a starter kit
from the LHBS.
It sucked, and after about 5-6
batches, I pretty much quit. Then
in late '07 I randomly popped into
the LBHS near my place of work.
After purchasing ANOTHER starter
setup, I made my first extract +
steeping grains brew, which was
slightly less sucky than my first
few attempts many years ago. Then
I found the HBT and said screw it
- time to brew some decent beer -
and went all grain. Now I keg,
too. I've found brewing to be a
great diversion from work and real
life.

About 10 minutes into the boil on this bad mutha:
5.5 gallons
OG - 1.050
FG - 1.013
ABV - 4.9%
9 lbs Vienna
1 lb Crystal 10L
.5 Carapils
Mashed at 150 for 60 mins in 3.5 gallons.
Added 1.5 gallons and ran off to kettle.
3.5 gallons of 180 water and sparged to kettle to
achieve 7 gallons in the boiler. I always aim for 5.5
gallons in the fermenter and expect to lose .5 galls to
trub.
Glacier .5 oz 60 mins
EKG .5 15 mins
EKG .5 5 mins
EKG .5 0 mins
Safale -05
Going to cold condition for a few weeks after
fermentation and see if I can get it to attenuate
enough to fool people into thinking I used a SF lager
yeast....
