I always was a hands on type of guy and
making something that could get you drunk
was a great idea to me. At first I didn't
like beer, why could that be? The second
beer I ever had legally was my Irish Red
Ale. I brewed it a month before my 21st
birthday and didn't "test" it
until the day I turned 21. I now am a All
Grain Brewer with Kegging equipment. I
went from doing all extract kits to
extract with grains to allgrain with in
one year. Thanks to this board I am now a
happy home brewer, and a happy beer
drinker.

As some of you guys know I've been around here for
quite a while. Now I've seen a lot of stuff some
things I liked and some I didn't. For the most part
homebrewers and wine makers are nice people but as in
everything there are those who don't play well with
others. I joined HBT for one real reason comma
(besides I liked the colors) and that was because it
was an independent site. I didn't have to be shackled
to one supplier or could not mention anything that
wasn't kosher in a commercial setting. I also like the
fact that it was small and we were a little bunch of
brewers just trying to make it in the big world.
I have learned a lot from the people here comma met
some great people comma and tried to give back. But
through all this HBT has become bigger and more helpful
than I could have ever dreamed of. In general we have
a great bunch of people here who all they want to do is
make better beer. It's nice to see the recently noobs
helping out the real noobs. What is really nice to see
is how people have progressed through the whole process
from all-extract to all-grain.
I hope that HBT continues this path of helping people
make great beers. Keep up the inginuitey that made
this place great to begin with. I know that I've
learned more form this place than any other source of
brewing information any where else. Keep helping out
the noobs because you were them at one point and they
might help you out later.
And for God's sake please don't be a post whore. :D...

| Chairman Cheyco 07/23/2008 I heard that Gorbachev used to
call Sause for advice on how to
get the dried soap out of the top
of dish detergent bottles. |
